Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio took his booster shot at the First Aid Cum Vaccination Centre, Nagaland Civil Secretariat on Republic Day, 26th January 2022. Rio mentioned that there is no medicine for covid and vaccination is the only preventive measure against it. He appealed to everyone above 60 years to come forward and take the booster dose. He also asked the people who have not yet taken their vaccination to not be misled with false propaganda about the vaccine. Rio requested to the people to follow the SOP which have been provided by the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Wife of Chief Minister, Kaisa Rio and some of the Chief Minister’s cabinet colleagues also took their booster shots.
