Nagaland Chief Secretary, J. Alam IAS, conducted a review meeting in a hybrid mode involving relevant department officials, Deputy Commissioners (DCs), Superintendents of Police (SPs), and District officials of UD/MA/RD/IPR/YRS across the state. The meeting was centered around the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" and "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaigns. The session took place in the Chief Secretary Conference Hall, Kohima on August 8, 2023.
In Kohima, the district administration officers, led by Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS, along with other relevant department officials, participated via video conference in the NIC Conference hall. DC Shanavas provided insights into the campaign's preparations in the district. He affirmed that Kohima district is fully equipped to execute the campaign according to state government guidelines.
Within Kohima district, 58 villages and 28 wards, including Chiephobozou and KMC, are set to participate in the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" program. Memorial programs will be held in Amrit Sarovar sites in one village from each of the five blocks, while other locations within villages and wards will also be used. Necessary preparations, such as saplings for planting and distribution, have been made, along with pledges in both original and translated versions. Police and School Education departments will assist with flag hoisting and the National Anthem to prevent confusion. Special arrangements for soil collection have been made in different areas.
Regarding the "Har Ghar Tiranga" initiative, DC Shanavas informed that the district has ordered 35,000 flags in addition to the existing stock of 3,000 flags, totaling 38,000 flags.
