Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland,J.Alam, IAS paid his maiden visit as Chief Secretary to Zunheboto district, accompanied by Commissioner, Nagaland, Rovilatuo Mor IAS on 26th March 2021 and had an interaction with the administrative officers, President Sumi Hoho and colleagues at Deputy Commissioner's residence.

J.Alam, naming his visit as a familiarisation tour with tribes of the state and the district said that, he wanted to get connected with all tribal hohos of Nagaland, as there are many issues which can be curbed with the support of tribal apex organisations. He further elaborated his present tour plan of heading to Mokokchung district via Lumami University, Wokha District and later to all other districts of Nagaland.

The Chief Secretary added that the govt and tribal hohos should have an understanding with each other and work accordingly as there will be crucial times coming and as such he needs the support of civil organization. He shared that they may not be able to completely eradicate all the problems at one go but with their support of civil organizations some crucial problems can be resolved.

President Sumi Hoho, Hekhushe Sikhu while speaking on behalf of Sumis, assured their full support while adding that their main objective was to coordinate with the govtforfor the welfare of all people. He also shared some grievances being faced.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, who also proposed the keynote address where he shared some of the problems pertaining to the District.
