The Christian School Tangha in collaboration with the Government High School Yotan, Government Middle School, Government Primary school sector (A), and Government Primary School sector (B) celebrated Cultural Day cum Literary competition under the theme "Bumien Teipu" (Prehistoric) on 15th October 2022 at the conference hall Tangha village under Longleng district.

Speaking on the theme, Pastor, P. Hamphe Phom said young generations should follow in the footsteps of older people to keep their culture alive. He emphasized the importance of correctly addressing a senior. He also talked about various kinds of crops and seeds which can be sowed at different times of the year to the young gathering.

He added that if young people fail to keep cultures and traditions alive, there will be lots of disorders in society. He said without tradition, they would remain ignorant of so many things and lose the sense of belonging to their tribe.

The programme included a spelling bee competition, a Group Song competition, and scripture reading for both senior and junior categories. A poem of origin (Khadam Yannyau) was presented by Danja Eungloak, GMS Tangha, Pu Ashu (Folk song), and Um-oh was performed by GHS Yotan, Vitak Pang and pho pu (Tapestry) performed by Momchingla and GPS (A) presented a folk song.

Bukam K. Phom i/c Christian School Tangha delivered the welcome address and Ongtok Lung, invoked the program with invocation while B. Li-e Mukho, a former teacher of Christian School Tangha pronounced the benediction. Earlier the programme was chaired by Manlu B. Phom & L. Baukam Phom.
