To facilitate the CIHSR institute, the Chumoukedima Administration designed a campaign named 'The Blood Alliance' on 13th December 2022 at Referral Hospital, Dimapur.
Lately, having come to know that institutions struggling with maintaining a reserve of blood units, and the cases of road accidents are on the rise which puts added pressure on the blood bank of the institute besides the in-house demand, the Administration along with CIHSR have taken the initiative to device a strong network of volunteers, the 'Blood Samaritans', one can register themselves with Arhomo C. Ngullie through contact no. 9436270915.
The volunteers could be contacted by the institute in times of emergencies and whenever there is a requirement for blood, besides regular donations.
The presence of an institution like CIHSR is a blessing that grants all a sense of security in reliable health care services. The commitment and dedication of the doctors and paramedical staff of the institute are inspiring and their sincerity to serve the ailing could be a lesson for all in selfless service. Apart from various services that the institution extends, the hospital has a fully-functional blood bank.
The ready availability of blood for emergencies is an issue that concerns all as a community and one may feel the pinch only in an unfortunate incident of an accident or in a medical emergency.
DC, Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, IAS took the initiative in donating blood, while donors from District police & staff, CRPF, DCP crime and officers, respective neighboring villages, Towns, and Youth organizations donated blood. The donors showed positive effects with a sense of satisfaction after the donation. Hoping that the Initiative taken by the Chumoukedima Administration in coordination with the CISHR, will surely create an opportunity for blood donation and increase voluntary blood donations. The Administration has appealed to all concerned citizens to come forward and help the institute to maintain a constant supply of reserve at all times.
