Regarding the conduct of the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) on Earthquake scenario of 8.7 Magnitude, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Chumoukedima conducted a Table Top Exercise on 15th November 2022 at DC Conference Hall, Chumoukedima.

Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA, Abhinav Shivam, IAS, during the meeting of Table Top Exercise gave an overview of the conduct of NEPEx Mock drill which is scheduled on 17th November. He highlighted the roles & responsibilities of the mock drill. He said that this mock drill is been exercised to make people ready to respond to a situation of an earthquake if it occurs. He stated that if the mock exercise is done correctly, whatever situation comes at any time, people will be able to respond better, with less panic, less lack of communication and confusion, henceforth appealed to the concerns department in charge to know their roles & responsibilities during the mock drill. He also appealed to the public at the surrounding staging areas not to panic but to cooperate, as it's a Disaster Mock drill exercise.

The main staging area for the mock exercise would be set up at two locations, DC Office and CTC Office, respectively.
