Unveiling the plaque of the Chen Union Aboi “Paan” Morung on 28th December 2020, CL. John as chief guest, expressed gratitude to the Chen Union Aboi Town for their hard work and successful completion of the Morung. The Morung (PAAN) was dedicated by Rev. Yeangphong, Pastor ATBC. John also expressed his appreciation to the surrounding villages, areas leaders for rendering their support and cooperation to Chen Union Aboi.  He also said that it was a milestone achievement.

Addressing the gathering John reminded the sacrifices and hardships rendered by the pioneers. He said that in the olden days our forefathers built Paan (Morung) for training and also for any kind of decision making for society or village. He encouraged the people to make use of the “Paan” in today’s generation for training and decision making in the field of peace and prosperity. 

MLA Eshak congratulated   the Chen Union Aboi said that such kind of Morung “Chen Union Aboi Paan” is the first time in Aboi town. It has set a good example of unity to the people, he added.

Yemwang Ahng, Chenmoho urged the people to cooperate with neighbours. Short speeches were also delivered by Pangao KU president Aboi, TP Pongyao President KU Chen, Wangshok President KVCU Chen Block, Shakwang Ahng, Langmeing

The programme was held in compliance with the SOP of COVID – 19 issued by the Government of Nagaland like hand sanitization, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.

CL. John also released the Morung Booklet and was dedicated by Rev. Yeangphong, Pastor ATBC.

Welcome address was delivered by M. Tahkei Walim, President Chen Union Aboi. Special song was presented by Lemwang & Shaboh. Other highlights included Log Drum beating by Ngangching, Cultural Dance by Chaoha Union Aboi Town and Cultural Song by Chen Yikyalan.
