Culmination programme of Clean India Campaign was held on 30th October 2021 at Old MLA Junction, Kohima
Addressing the participants as special guest, ADC Kohima, N. Bhavani Sri, IAS said that the Clean India campaign has been planned under the aegis of 75 years of India Independence Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration with a vision and action to mobilize public to participate voluntarily in this nationwide drive of waste collection and their disposal. She stressed that unless the people practice proper waste management and maintain public toilets, cleanliness would not sustain. She called upon every citizen to carry forward the message of cleanliness and continue to contribute their services to keep our city and surroundings clean for a better future
Earlier, the ADC also administered the Pledge for Clean India and flagged off the cleanliness drive. Volunteers from NYKS, NSS and Bharat Scout and Guides took part in the programme and carried out cleanliness drive from old MLA Junction to Rhazu Point. Welcome address delivered by State NSS Officer, Zeneikho-o Benedict and vote of thanks was pronounced by Director in- Charge NYKS, John Makhabo.
