The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Pfutsero Government College, conducted a cleanliness drive under the theme "Plastic Free Pfutsero" supported under Swachh Bharat Mission from ADC & Administrator, Pfutsero Town Council and assistance from the College authority on 22nd April 2021. Over 100 students participated in the drive along with several concerned staffs of the college.

The volunteers covered the main town area, Zhipa, Menyitsuda, Reku, PWD, Tese and Seed Farm Colonies. The NSS Program Officer Nuveta Khusoh expressed his gratitude to the Unit for the social service carried out with such dedication, and thanked the district administration and town community for support. He added that such social service should be carried out occasionally as it will greatly benefit the community and will instill sense of community hygiene and cleanliness. 

This is part of a series of innovative initiatives of Pfutsero Town Council under Swachh Bharat Mission to engage Community-Participation for clean and plastic free town.
