Social Welfare Department, Mon on 30th September 2021 observed the closing programme of PoshanMaah 2021 with the theme, "Converging towards a healthy walk through life", with Project Director, DRDA Mon, M. TemjenLongchar as the special guest. 

Lonchar in his speech stated that over the ten years of his posting in Mon, he could observe a transformation in the living conditions and societal status of the people of the District which was a result of the joint efforts of all convergent Departments in programmes and schemes like the PoshanMaah. He expressed appreciation and satisfaction with the efforts of all convergent departments led by Nodal Department Social Welfare in successfully concluding the PoshanMaah 2021 campaign and emerging above the other District to hold the 2nd position in the State. 

The programme witnessed a presentation of the activities under PoshanMaah 2021 by District Coordinator, Poshan, NokyamKhoiyem where he highlighted that there were over 1,65,000 participants with over 6000 activities held across the District pushing Mon District in the 2nd slot for overall performance in the State. 

Field experiences were shared by Block Coordinator, Tizit, Keiom and Anganwadi Worker, K. Ngipnon where they both shared the challenges and invaluable lessons learned during the entire campaign. 

DPO, ICDS Mon, Y. TauhongNgonyen while delivering the vote of thanks, thanked DC Mon and all the convergent Departments for their proactive support and help. He stated that through the PoshanMaah Campaign, the presence of Social Welfare Department was felt in all the villages across the District. 

The programme was chaired by District Project Assistant, Poshan, Wangton and also witnessed prize distribution for the winners of various activities conducted under Mon block.
