Department of Social Welfare organized the closing ceremony of Poshan Maah 2022 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS.
Addressing the culmination programme, the DC acknowledged the commendable job done by the Anganwadi team and encouraged them to continue serving with sincerity and dedication for the welfare of society. He urged the Anganwadi workers/team to identify severe acute malnourished children (high, weight, and age data) in the district, and after collecting the data, to upload/include the accurate data in the Poshan Abhiyaan tracker.
Sr. Supervisor, Wokha Block, Erenbeni Ohara presenting a brief outline of Poshan Maah activities of 2022, said over the past five years Wokha ICDS has been doing no less when it comes to implementing the programmes and activities of Poshan Abhiyaan, some of the activities are Anaemia camp and screening, successful in maintained multi-gardens across all Anganwadi centers, set up mother’s group in all Anganwadi centers, sensitization programme on rainwater harvesting, generated awareness campaign on menstrual hygiene, incorporation of traditional food, awareness camp on WASH was also generated and many more.
Mentioned may also be made that, in recognition of their notable work in August 2019, Wokha ICDS was awarded the State Poshan Abhiyaan award for Best Field Convergence.
In recognition of their service rendered 10 (ten) Anganwadi workers received cash awards and two MAM (Moderate Acute Mal-nutrition) were identified from GA/Project colony Wokha, the cash award was handed over by the Deputy Commissioner.
The culmination function was chaired by Sr. Supervisor, Wokha Block while a vote of thanks was proposed by District Co-ordinator Poshan Abhiyaan Wokha district, Shanjothung Ngullie.
