Zinki Bailey Bridge was inaugurated on 28th April 2023 at Zinki River, with Chief Minister Nagaland Neiphiu Rio as the Special guest.

The Chief Minister said that completion of bridge will bring multi-faceted progress for the people. He also informed about the upcoming funding programmes which would lift the economy and per capita income of the people. He said Rs.180 crores was kept ready with the Government to be utilised through DUDA for development in education and health sectors, and that discussions would be held with departmental HODs on guidelines and priorities. He also cautioned for judicious use of funds. The Chief Minister earlier, unveiled the inaugural monolith Stone.

Er. N. Imti Chang Executive Engineer DUDA, giving a Technical Reports, said the Bridge, measuring 14 feet width and 160 feet in length, was completed at a cost of ₹15 crore.

In the programme, short speeches were given by Advisor Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guard and Civil Defence S. Kiusumew Yimchunger; Advisor, Geology and Mining DUDA Chingang Konyak; Tutheze Village Council; USLP and USSC.

Representative for Longmatra Area GBs Association appraised for upgradation of EAC to SDO Civil post at Longmatra. He also reminded for prompt implementation in regard to Inland water way connectivity from Longmatra to Avakhung stretch of TIzu - Zinki river.

Commissioner & Secretary (DUDA) K.S Anden Konyak chaired the programme.
