The combined District Planning and Development Board meeting of Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland Districts was held at Land Resource Centre, Ruzaphema on 22nd April 2022.
DC and Vice-Chairman DPDB Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS chaired the meeting while Advisor & Chairman DPDB Dimapur, Zhaleo Rio delivered the opening remarks.
All the five legislators from Dimapur attended the meeting and delivered short speeches.
The five legislators thanked the present government for creating two new Districts from Dimapur ie Chumoukedima & Niuland districts for the sole purpose of administrative convenience. The legislators urged the officers for guiding and facilitating the inconveniences of the public in the newly created districts.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo briefed the gathering about the law and order situation in Dimapur. According to the CP, traffic congestion and road accidents stand out to be the major challenges, for which he advocated the need for more CCTV cameras in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam in his short speech opined that Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland districts being the modern face of Nagaland need to be developed in every aspect.
Agendas discussed in the meeting included a change of nomenclature from Logos School to Footprints Academy, Pillar school Diphupar A village to Amazing Grace mission center at Seithekima A village, and the Opening of a new school by the name Dohron Kids Academy which was recommended by the members.
The House also approved the up-gradation of schools which included Government High School Lingrijan to Government Hr. Sec School Lingrijan. Ebenezer Public School, Sewak Lotha colony. NN Nagi School, Kuda village A- Khel, GPS Ikishe Dimapur GHS and Molvon to Govt. Hr. School Dimapur.
The House approved in principle the Renaming of Nagarjan Road to Nimedo Sakhrie Road subject to submission of NOC. The establishment of a Mobile Dispensary Medical outreach service center was approved by the House after deliberation.
The establishment of the Co-Educational Institute Berachah MPCS LTD. was agreed upon in principle by the members subject to the submission of the verification report.
Society Registrations for Children's hope library, Dimapur District Welfare Society, Deaf Community of Nagaland, Naharbari Dimapur and Hemophilia society Nagaland chapter. Ayimti sector B Dimapur was recommended by the House.
