As a part of commemorating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India in collaboration with the All India Motorbike Expedition (AIME) started a three-month-long bike ride all over the country. Union Home Minister, Amit Shah flagged off the expedition on 10th September 2022 from New Delhi.

The expedition envisaged covering approximately 21,000 km and will pass through 34 states/UT. 75 bikers across the country are participating and will be visiting 75 Iconic locations in this pan-India bike ride to mark AKAM and Fit India Mission.

The purpose of the expedition is to celebrate AKAM by disseminating the message of FITNESS FOR ALL and leveraging the theme "Fitness Ki Dose Aadha Ghanta Roz".

Dimapur District Administration and the district sports officials and volunteers briefly interacted with the freedom riders at Nagaland Gate Dimapur on 8th October 2022.
