The 10th Zunheboto District Inter-Departmental Tournament concluded on the 9th of September 2023 at the DSCZ Indoor Stadium Zunheboto. The tournament, which showcased the sporting talents of various departments, was marked by enthusiastic participation and competitive spirit.

In the prize distribution ceremony, Hekato Sema, the Tournament Convenor and Vice-Chairman of the District Sports Council Zunheboto (DSCZ), expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. He particularly thanked G. Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor for Land Resources, who not only graced the opening ceremony as a special guest but also made generous donations to the District Sports Council. Hekato Sema also extended his thanks to Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, who serves as the Chairman of DSCZ, as well as to Sumi Hoho, Sumi Totimi Hoho, Kukami Kukhakulu, and all the participants from different departments for their active involvement and sportsmanship, which greatly facilitated the smooth conduct of the tournament.

In the men's singles badminton category, Kupe Kapfo, Superintendent of Police Zunheboto from the DEF department, emerged victorious by defeating H. Hinoka Sema from DEO (Education) in straight sets, securing the title. In the men's doubles badminton, Kainoto and Kihika from the PWD (R&B) department clinched the title by defeating H. Hinoka and Inato from the DEO (Education) department.

In the women's singles badminton, Likabo from the Soil and Water Conservation department secured the title by defeating Razoukienuo from 8NAP Nalto in straight sets. Meanwhile, in the men's double carrom, DEF Zunheboto triumphed by defeating the PHED department, securing the title.

The tournament provided a platform for departments to showcase their sporting prowess and fostered a sense of camaraderie among participants, making it a grand success.
