In collaboration with Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), the Department of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection Mon, organised a Consumer Awareness Programme with the theme “Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection: The Journey to Viksit Bharat 2047” at KNSK Officer, Mon on 30th September 2025.

N Mannon, Chief Legal Counsel & Member, District Consumer Forum served as Resource Person. She referred to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, defined who a Consumer is and elaborated on Consumer Rights and Responsibilities. She encouraged the audience to come forward and utilise the District Consumer Forum at any unfair Practices faced. She mentioned the procedure of filing a case and said that the values of goods or services up to one crore (Indian rupees) are taken into consideration at the District Commission.

Sr. Inspector LMCP Mon, Er. Nganyei Konyak gave the keynote address. He emphasised Individual efforts for the Viksit Bharat 2047 Mission and stressed a society of free, fair and transparent.

Y Sheiying chaired the programme and Toihon invokes God's Presence. There was also a prize distribution presentation for the recently concluded essay competition winners and the President of KNSK, Ponglem, welcomed all the members from 11 wards
