The District Task Force (DTF) for Covid-19 Mon held a joint meeting with Civil Societies of Mon and representatives from the State Level Monitoring Team, Commissioner & Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, W. Honje Konyak and Dy. Director, NSACS, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir on 17th September 2021 at the Conference Room of Office of DC Mon.
Honje Konyak apprised the meeting that the purpose of the State Level team was to intensively review and guide the DTF and health workers and have practical interaction and discussion about the challenges faced by the workers. He stated that the team had visited Tobu and Aboi where they had interactive meetings with all the stakeholders and were satisfied with the performance in handling the pandemic. He stated that the team was scheduled to visit Naginimora and Tizit on 18th September 2021. He expressed his appreciation and satisfaction of the DTF Mon under the leadership of DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS for performing well in all the parameters for the management and containment of the pandemic. He, however, warned the members not to be complacent and be prepared in case of a third wave.
Dy. Director, NSACS, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir, thanked every section of the society involved in saving lives during the pandemic. She stated that Mon was one of the best performing District in the State and assured the Task Force that the Team would be available anytime to stand for the District and continue the good work.
The Monitoring Team thoroughly reviewed the strategies and coverage of Testing and Vaccination which was highlighted through power point presentations by members of the medical team. The meeting deliberated on ways to improve and the challenges faced by the health workers. The Monitoring Team resolved to take forward the challenges faced by the DTF to the State Level with the hope that with further guidance and support, the District's performance would enhance in all parameters.
The meeting was attended by members of the DTF Mon, Officers from various Departments and representatives from KU, KNSK and KSU.
