Mokokchung District Planning & development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of July & August 2021 was held on 21st August 2021 under the chairmanship of Minister PWD (Housing & Mechanical) and Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Tongpang Ozukum in the presence of Speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mokokchung, Dr. Chubala Aier gave a report on the COVID-19 status in the district. She highlighted on the management and activities of the department in combating the COVID-19 pandemic in the district. She also give the status report on vaccination drive in the district and said that the department is doing its best to improve the overall activity related to COVID-19.

On the status report, the chairman encouraged the department to focus more in testing and vaccination and he called upon the district administration to approach and encourage the village council in the rural areas and encourage vaccination.

The house discussed on Dairy Chilling Plant at Mokokchung and after thorough discussion, it was decided to discuss the matter with the Department concern. Report on Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) dumping site issue was discussed and the house decided to approach the land owner and negotiate the land for outright purchase. The meeting also took report and discussed for introduction of commerce stream at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung and decided put up to higher up for approval.

The meeting gave the finalization of LADP 2021-22. The proposal for black topping the college approach road of Clerk Theological College (CTC), Mokokchung in commemoration of the college 50 years Jubilee was taken up by the board. Summing up the meeting, Ozukum appealed to all the members to work with sincerity and contribute their best while serving at Mokokchung district. He also reminded the members to regularly attend DPDB meetings.
