A sensitization program and vaccination drive for all eligible persons under Tening sub-division in Peren was held at various villages under the initiative of Sub-Divisional Task Force Tening for COVID-19on 28th June 2021.

ADC Tening, Rosietho Nguori, NCS speaking at the program held at New Tesen Village,   lauded and appreciated the Village Task Force (VTF) members and Village Councils members headed by the Village Chairman for their cooperation towards the SDTF.

Nguori encouraged all the members to be good ambassadors on COVID-19 vaccination drive in disseminating the importance of Covid vaccine to the community to stay safe and be secure from the pandemic. He also gave a brief highlight on the roles and responsibilities of Village Task Force members on how to establish Community Covid Care Centre and enforcement of COVID-19 SOPs provided by the Government to ensure attachment of guidelines on home isolation and proper care including food facilities and free movement of health care workers/Frontline workers for essential services and limitations of non-essential or unavoidable movement of people.

MO Tening, Dr.Nuksang Jamir spoke on basic management of COVID-19 and its vaccination and Covid related dead body management. He expressed concerned that many people are reluctant to avail proper medical advice fearing the testing of COVID-19. However, he said that the vaccine status and people attitude towards the pandemic is positive and the only solution to fight against the virus is to take vaccination.

Meanwhile, a vaccination drive was carried out at Old Ngaulong village and Bamsiakelwa village on 29th June 2021.
