Culmination program of the 9th Kohima Assembly Constituency (AC) Ward Adoption under District Planning & Development Board 2019-2020 was held at Lower PWD Colony Ward-11 Kohima on 29th March 2021.

            The program was graced by Advisor, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire as the Special Guest. Kire stated that village adoption was started in Kohima for the weakest villages later it was also extended to adopt wards in Town. Earlier, the Advisor also inaugurated waiting shed near Lotha Baptist Church, Kohima.

             Convenor, Development Committee LPWD, Satsü Angami gave a brief report of various projects and development works implemented during the wards adoption program as follows: Construction of waiting shed, Toilet, Youth recreation hall at Panchayat Hall with TT board, construction of footsteps, black topping of roads from Lotha Baptist Church to Chandmari Higher Secondary School and Lower PWD Taxi junction to Midlane bridge. Installations of transformer 250 KVA, seven solar lights and four convex mirror refletion and replacement and new installation of 28 pieces of electric poles. While Human Resource Department also imparted training on paper bag making for women, hospitality, management and vermi composting. 

             Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Advisor LPWD, Meyi Sanglir while short speech were given by SDO(C) Sadar, convenor ward adoption committee Daniel Angami, Chairman LPWD, Hayio Ngullie, Ward chairman PWD Panchayat, Dozhohü Tunyi and the President, Association of Kohima Municipal Ward Panchayat, Neibulie Kiewhuo. Kevingunuo presented special song and a special musical piece was performed by Kekhriesielie Rhetso. Youth president, Kevimese Mere proposed vote of thanks while Renthunglo Tungoe chaired the program.
