The fifth day of the 22nd Hornbill festival was graced by Chief Justice, Gauhati High Court, Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia as the guest of honour and Chief General Manager, Indian Oil Corporation Lt., Noonmati, Guwahati, K.V Ramanamurthy as the special guest. It was hosted by the Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire.

Dhulia addressing the gathering at Kisama said that he is charmed by the great diversity and culture of Nagaland, a glimpse of the rich and colourful heritage of Naga men and women is commendable and admirable. He applauded the skills of the Naga men and women folks delivering such vibrant presentations and remarked that the festival is going to be the most watched and eagerly awaited festival.

During the cultural event, various tribes enthralled the audience with their colourful traditional dances and folk songs including Pochury cultural troupe, Rengma Cultural troupe, Kachari cultural troupe, Garo cultural troupe, Lotha cultural troupe, Ao cultural troupe, Kuki cultural troupe, Zeliang cultural troupe, Rengma cultural troupe.

The guest of honour and special guest in the afternoon  cultural show was Secretary, Ministry of MSME, GoI, B.B Swain and  Director General (INV) Income Tax west Bengal, Sikkim and NER, Sri Suresh Kumar, IRS. Advisor Power, Tovihoto Ayemi was the host and he was accompanied by Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture, Khehovi Yepthomi.

In the afternoon session, cultural dances and folk songs were performed by Lotha cultural troupe, Angami cultural troupe, Chakhesang cultural troupe, Rengma cultural troupe, Sumi cultural troupe and Garo cultural troupe.
