CULTURAL PERFORMANCES ON 3rd DAY OF HORNBILL FESTIVAL AT KISAMA

In the morning session of the third day of the Hornbill Festival 'Cultural Connect,' Lt General Jagamohan Singh Sidana Commandant ACEME Col. Commandant Corps EME and his wife graced the function. Minister for Tribal Affairs & Higher Education Temjen Imna Along, and Sericulture, Excise, and Minority Affairs Advisor, Zaleo Rio were the hosts for the 3rd Day at Kisama.

The following tribes performed their colorful traditional dances and folk songs during the cultural extravaganza.

Rengma Cultural troupe presented Sukhuki (Folk dance), Kachari Cultural troupe Slemah Dikhawbani (Folk song), Lotha Cultural troupe presented Iya Hoi, Holo-Iye (Song of enchantment), Pochuri Cultural troupe presented Yaloro Kwhi (Folk song), Ao Cultural troupe performed Arr Malu (Tug of War), Sumi (Dimapur Base) performed Folk dance while Chakhesang (Kohima Base) presented Riwhuphe (War and Headhunting dance).

In the afternoon session, Justice Sanjay Kumar Chief justice Manipur High Court was the Special Guest. He was accompanied by honored guest Amrendra Kumar IRS Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Shillong and Lt. Gen PC Nair AVSM, YSM, Ph.D Director General Assam Rifles. Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu, and Advisor Village Guards, Information and Public Relations, S. Keoshu were host and co-host respectively.

The following cultural troupes performed various cultural dances. Sumi cultural troupe presented Spear Kicking, Zeliang Cultural Troupe performed Ahoibe Lim (Falcon dance), Chakhesang Cultural Troupe presented Chechukuva (Traditional Game), Angami Cultural Troupe (Mima Village) Seyie Geizo (Mima song & dance), Garo Cultural Troupe performed Anseng Rere (Folk song), Kuki Cultural Troupe presented Lamkol Lam (Folk dance) and Pochury Cultural Troupe (Kohima Base) performed Chie Wochiewo (Indigenous Game).
