The 45 Assam Rifles E Coy. Bhandari, organized an Open Basketball tournament at the DBHSS, Bhandari, from 11th to 16th July 2023. Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) emerged as the Champion of the tourney by defeating Net Rippers team and walked away with a cash prize of Rs.20,000 besides certificates and a trophy, while Net Rippers, the runners-up team, were awarded Rs.5000. Maj Rajat Yadav, giving away prizes, encouraged the 9 participating teams and the youth to come together to build good habits, create a positive outlook, and learn to face challenges with skill and confidence through sporting events for a healthy and productive life. Village council members, public leaders, and the general public also lauded and acknowledged the 45 Assam Rifles for giving a healthy platform to the youth of the area.
