Deputy Commissioner Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam IAS, while informing that Chumoukedima has been designated as Election District, urged the HoDs under Chumoukedima district to be mentally prepared for rendering services in terms of manpower. He said this while addressing the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting on 19th October 2022 in the conference hall of DC Chumoukedima. To make the DPDB meeting more meaningful and action oriented, Shivam advised the department heads to give agenda for deliberation during the DPDB meeting, for the betterment of the district.
In the meeting, District TB Officer highlighted on the basic information of National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) with special focus on Chumoukedima, Dimapur and Niuland districts. She said that the vision of NTEP is to achieve TB Free India by 2025 as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and to achieve universal access to quality TB diagnosis and treatment for all TB patients in the community. She also highlighted on the infrastructure set up of NTEP in Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland and also the financial benefits to TB patients through Nikshay Poshan Yojana which is being implemented since April 2018.
PowerPoint presentation was also delivered with regard to District Aids Prevention Control where the responsibilities, key functions, services under National AIDS Control Programme were highlighted.
As entrusted, Agriculture Department presented PowerPoint presentation, highlighting the Agro ecological situation of Chumoukedima district, land use pattern, crop production status, oilseeds production and the ongoing schemes/programmes.
Other highlights of the meeting included review of previous meeting minutes where the proposal for registration of Biblical Leadership Institute Dhansiripar was recommended by the Board. Opening of new schools, namely Royal School at Thiluxi village, Dimapur and Greenfield Academy School, Ganeshnagar, Dimapur were also approved by the members.
