Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS, today 21st July 2020, paid a surprise visit at Super Market Dimapur, to oversee whether the vegetable vendors and the public were following the laid down guidelines for containing COVID 19 pandemic, which is mandatory.

He encouraged the vegetable vendors for maintaining social distance between them, to wear masks and to maintain hand hygiene. Anoop warned that he would have no option but to closed down the market if the vendors and shoppers do not cooperate as it pertains to public health and safety. Meanwhile, GBs union Dimapur (Sadar) assured that they would personally monitor for ensuring that all laid down guidelines were followed by the vendors and shoppers. The GBs union Dimapur were seen putting the markings at the super market Dimapur,  Tuesday evening to ensure that vendors maintains the required distance between them. DC was accompanied by SDO (C) Sadar, Zuben Ngullie, Representative from DMC, GBs union Dimapur Sadar while DPRO announcement team making announcement in the background.
