Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS has issued an order Dated 8th September 2022 stating that pursuant to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations of Kohima District, the following areas are declared as Infected Zones and Surveillance Zones

1.      Infected Zone - Kezocha (1 km radius of infected premises)

2.      Surveillance Zone - 10 km radius from the infected premises (9 km radius outside the infected zone).

The order also informed the public to strictly adhere to the following restrictions in the aforementioned locations until further order.

1.      Ban of Pigs slaughter.

2.      Ban on import and export of Pigs and Piglets.

3.      Ban on transportation of Pigs and Pork.
