Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS graced the opening programme of livelihood project under LADP Common Pool 2021-2022 at Forest Complex, Marepkong ward, Mokokchung on 18th July 2022.

The project is an initiative of DPDB Mokokchung 2021-2022 with its activities breeding and distribution of ten thousand 14-days old broiler chicks to the selected farmers, (50% self-help group) of 10 Constituencies Assemblies under Mokokchung district. In the 1st phase, 3,000 chicks were distributed to 30 farmers from the 26, 27, and 28 Assembly segments.

Speaking at the programme, the DC said that the project is a livelihood generation and sustainable initiative. He also advised the farmers to follow scientific management while rearing chickens and wished them success in their project.

Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by DPO Mokokchung, Imlikokba Longkumer, and a brief guide on the project management by DFO Mokokchung, Dr. Sentila IFS.
