DC MOKOKCHUNG INFORMS ON THE REGISTRATION/LICENSING OF INDUSTRIAL UNITS

In pursuance of the Office of the Labour Commissioner, Nagaland, and the circular issued by Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Office, Nagaland, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS, has informed all concerned that mandatory prerequisite registration of all units listed under Section 6 of the Factories Act 1984, by the Government of Nagaland shall be re-verified, validated and enforced for strict compliance.

Therefore, all the proprietors/Managers of the industrial units like Iron & Steel Fabrication, Saw Mills, Furniture Houses, Motor Workshops, Stone Crushers, Rice Mills, Brick Kilns, and any other industrial units within the Mokokchung District, operating/functioning without proper license/registration have been directed to immediately obtain the necessary permits from the Chief Inspector of Factories, Govt. of Nagaland at the earliest.

Failure to obtain the same from the concerned department shall be liable to punishment under the provision of the Act with imprisonment of up to 6 (six) months or a fine amounting to Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand)
