The Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS on 15th August 2021 signed the Sale Deed Agreement with the Mon Village Council for acquisition of land with an area of 90 acres at Chah-Yu area, Mon Village for setting up of the Medical College, Mon for a total amount of Rs. 2.70 crore. 

The agreement was signed in the presence  Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom, representatives from Konyak Union (KU), Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), Konyak Students' Union (KSU) and Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB), Mon Village Council members, Mon Village Anghs and GBs. The cheque was handed over to the Mon Village Council Chairman by the Minister.
