Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS in an order issued on 26th August 2020, stated that it is be the bounden duty of every citizen to stop the spread of the corona disease and to prevent the stigmatization of covid-19 infected patient.

Therefore he has informed to all that disclosure of the identity of COVID-19 patients in any forms is a punishable offense. Disclosure of identity leading to stigmatization and discrimination of Patients by any individual, organization shall be liable to prosecution as per relevant section of the law.
