In view of the steep rise in Covid-19 cases in the State and the urgent need for taking measures for preventing the spread of Covid-19 in the District and taking into account the district proximity to the commercial centre, and on being satisfied that stringent measures are necessary, DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS has issued the following guidelines for strict compliances:

  1. All weekly markets in Peren District shall not be allowed to open till further orders. Only local vendors selling local products during weekly markets are permitted to sell their products, with strict observation of Covid-19 appropriate protocols such as physical distancing, use of face masks and hand sanitizers, besides following other Govt. SOPs issued from time to time.
  2. All travellers coming from outside the state shall on arrival immediately report to the District Control Room (8732481972/9402728560) at CHC Jalukie.
  3. The Police check-post at Mhainamtsi, Heningkunglwa and Peren-Maram shall maintain proper records of persons entering the District alongwith contact details and copy of identity proof.
  4. All commercial vehicle drivers shall maintain passenger log book with contact details and follow traveler's protocol as per SOPs.
  5. Commercial passenger vehicle drivers shall not carry Covid-19 positive persons along with other passengers.
  6. All Village or Ward Authority are directed to set up Village Task Force/Ward Task Force and the responsibility of the VTF/WTF are to identify people coming from outside the state under their respective jurisdiction and report to the District Control Room/SDTF and ensure that persons advised for self-isolation are adhering to the Covid safety protocol and also assist the concern SDTF in whatever way possible.
  7. Inter-state travelers tested negative not earlier than 72 hours prior to entry into the district shall undergo 10 (ten) days Home Isolation with observation of Covid safety protocol. 
  8. Positive person shall be directed for Home Isolation/Covid Care Center/ Covid Hospital depending on the severity and feasibility for Home Isolation.
  9. Inter-state travelers entering the district without being tested shall be subjected to Home Isolation/Paid quarantine/ Institutional quarantine for 10 days and if remain asymptomatic shall be released without testing.

Any person found violating the above directives shall be penalised as per the provision of Section-51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section-188 of the IPC.
