In pursuance to the Home Department, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority letter No. NSDMA-ER-COVID19/30/2020 (Part-11) dated 27th November, 2021 and as decided in the DTF and  DPDB meeting, Deputy Commissioner Peren, Sentiwapang Aier NCS has issued the following guidelines for actions to be taken for ensuring compliance of the SOPs for preventing the spread of COVID-19 during public gathering, road travel and other activities to be strictly followed across Peren District as under: 

1.      The existing guidelines on vaccination/testing conditions are to be strictly adhered and there is need to take additional measures in view of the festive season approaching and the likelihood of increase in the number of large public gatherings and road travel by people across the district. 

2.      All International travelers shall report immediately to the DTF control room on arrival. 

3.      All SDTF are directed to intensify their efforts further by forming surveillance teams for regularly inspecting public gatherings in their jurisdiction and checking the participants vaccination/testing condition and adherence to COVID-19 appropriate behavior. If any violation is found, then immediate action against the organizers and participants are to be taken according to the standing government directives under the relevant laws. 

4.      The teams formed should also regularly inspect the passenger vehicles, in particular, those entering the district at the check post (Mhainamsti and Heningkunlwa), and random checking at the Sub- division level within the district, only the passenger(s) having requisite documentary evidence may be allowed entry. 

5.      The teams so formed should also ensure that all person(s) in public places are also wearing mask. Action is to be taken against those found not wearing mask and a penalty of Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) is to be imposed every time the offence is committed. 

6.      All SDTF shall submit report to NSDMA on the number of teams formed and submit report once every two days on the number of public gatherings inspected, the number of vehicles checked, both within the district, and at the check gates and the number of person(s) found violating vaccination/testing conditions, not wearing mask, violating COVID-19 appropriate behavior and the actions taken against them.
