In furtherance of Notification No. LR/2-21/88 Dated Kohima, the 30th March 2006 and Dated Kohima, the 30th June 2006, Deputy Commissioner Peren has notified that Patta Passbook in respect of Peren Town shall be issued with immediate effect with the following conditions:

1.      The Patta Passbook shall be issued to all Patta Holders (both Government Departments and Private Individuals/Organizations) on submission of the existing Patta to the issuing Authority by the Pattadars.

2.      The Patta Passbook will be issued to the Patta Holders only after the plot/site is physically verified by technical personnel from LRSO's Office Peren.

3.      The LRSO Peren will submit the verification report to the office of the undersigned in respect of those plots/land which are free from any encumbrances.

4.      While submitting the verification report, the following documents are to be enclosed:

a) Individual sheet of the plot to be printed out from Land Records

b) Management System.

c) Trace Map of the plot indicating its boundaries.

d) Patta Passbook.

e) Original Copy of the Patta/Jamabandi.

5.      Any discrepancies in ground position shall be reported to the Deputy Commissioner for further necessary action/settlement.

6.      The Land Revenue/Records Branch in DC's Office shall make all entries in the Patta Passbook and put up the same to the issuing Authority i.e. Deputy Commissioner for signature.

7.      Patta Passbook Register will be maintained by DC's Office and LRSO's Office Peren.
