In view of the surge in COVID-19 case in the district and in order to contain the spread of COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force (COVID-19) Phek, RazouzolieDozo has directed all the villages under Phek district to activate the Village Disaster Management Authority (VDMA) immediately. The VDMA may include village health workers and other volunteers.

Roles and Responsibilities or the Committee.

1. To assist the government agency.
2. Handling and management of dead bodies.
3. Monitoring of COVID-19 related cases and coordinating with District Task force/Block level task force.
4. Sealing/cordoning of the house in the event of detection COVID-19 on the order of the authority. Unsealing of the house in the event of recovery on the order of the authority.
5. Enforcement of government SOPs and guidelines on COVID-19 in the village.
6. Disseminating of necessary information in the village.
7. Any other duties responsibilities assigned by the District Task Force/Block Level Task Force.

The Committee will be provided with PPE kit, gloves, mask, sanitiser, body hag, etc. by the Medical Department through concerned SMO/MO or health workers of the nearest CHC/PMC as and when needed.
