Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force for COVID-19 Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed that, in the interest of public health safety and with a view to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19, all the Ward Chairman in Wokha town are hereby informed to form a Core Group in their respective wards to attend to urgent essential matters including:

1. To assist the health workers to ensure that a person remain in self-isolation/quarantine to comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Any person found violating the SOP may report to Wokha COVID-19 HELPLINE Number at 9863663885. The same number can be used for any other COVID related issues.
2. Advice its residents against non-essential movements and non-compliance of COVID appropriate behavior.
3. Make arrangements for making essential commodities/needs available in the locality itself to restrict movements and crowding at market places.
4. Create an atmosphere where concern, fears and tension experienced by the residents are resolved in a responsible manner or brought to the notice of the concern authority for proper redressal.
5. To check the returnees from other States to go for mandatory screening under Wokha District and to ensure that the returnees follow COVID-19 appropriate behavior and strictly adhere to the guidelines/SOP for returnees.
