DEF LONGLENG ORGANISED RALLY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

In connection with the celebration of International day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the DEF Longleng organized a rally from Hukphang junction to Lempong junction on 25th June 2022.

Addressing the gathering at Lempong junction the Additional Superintendent of Police and Vice President of PSC appealed to the government agencies, civil societies, stakeholders, and the citizens of Longleng to extend their full cooperation and support to the campaign against illicit drugs and alcohol by sharing valuable inputs and information to protect the citizens from the maniacs of alcohol and illicit drugs.

The objective of the rally was to create mass awareness to fight against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in the district. Over the years the Police Force, Longleng has been battling against Alcohol and Illicit drug trafficking by conducting regular frisking and checking in the district. Contraband consignments such as alcohol suspected brown sugar, heroin, etc. were seized and arrested. The arrested persons were booked under various sections of the laws.
