The department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Longleng observed World Rabies Day in Longleng on 28th September 2022 on the theme "One Health, Zero Death" at DPDB Conference Hall Longleng with the Town Council (LTC) and All Ward Union Longleng Town.

The meeting was chaired by Throngdiba Sangtam, SDO (C), and Administrator LTC, and the significance of observing WRD and the theme was shared by Dr. Vilie Medoze VAS Longleng.

The meeting was followed by the presentation of the draft regarding the adoption of the "Dog Registration & Proper Control of Dogs; Rules and Regulations 2022" by Dr. Aoyimsen Jamir, VS, and Longleng.

The house unanimously agreed to adopt the draft proposal in principle put forward by the Department of AH&VS. It was agreed that the LTC in collaboration with the All Ward Union Longleng Town will adopt the Dog Registration & Proper Control of Dogs rules and regulations and that the mass registration and vaccination of all dogs under the LTC will be carried out in October to be technically assisted by the AH&VS Department.
