On sideline with the 75th Independence Day Celebration, Minister, Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining, V. Kashiho Sangtam, inaugurated the Deputy Commissioner’s office extension building on 15th August 2021 at DC complex, Noklak.
During the inauguration of Office building, Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the Government to Nokhu Range Public Organization (NRPO) for donating and constructing the building for extension of DC office Noklak. He mentioned that such donation by the public to the Government is one of its kind. Construction and donating building to the government by the public is very new and extended his gratitude to all Nokhu range people for the noble gesture.
The two room building was constructed and donated by Nokhu Range Public Organization comprising of Villages namely Nokhu, Kingniu, Nokhu Noking, Aniangan, Kingpao, Langnok and Choklangan.
The building was constructed within one month span with 112 man labours. The total cost building Rs.4,24,000/-.

Along with the rest of the nation, Tuensang celebrated the 75th Indian Independence Day with Advisor, Power Department, H Tovihoto Ayemi as special guest on 15th of August 2021 at Parade ground Tuensang.
The review of parade was done by DIG Range Tuensang, Rajashekera IPS. A total of five contingents namely DEF Tuensang, 3rd NAP, VG Ngangpong , VG Kuthur and 3rd NAP Pipe band participated in march pass with Shikato Swu DySP as a Parade Commander and Tohanba ABI as second in command.
District Commendation awards were also awarded to nine individuals in the Independence Day celebration. The awardees are P. At Longleng, the 75th Independence Day was celebrated with Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer as the Special Guest at Public Ground on 15th of August 2021.
The Special Guest unfurled the National flag and took salute from five contingents comprised of DEF Longleng, 12th NAP (IR) Chingtok, Village Guard Yaongyimchen & Yachem, Yingli College and Students Police Gadet Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, followed by inspection of ceremonial parade and Independence Day speech.

The 75th Indian Independence Day was celebrated at Dimapur on 15th August 2021 with Minister, PHE, Jacob Zhimomi unfurling the National Flag and taking Rashtriya Salute at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur.
The Minister in his speech stated that the nation since its birth has been moving ahead with determination in every domain and has come to secure its place amongst the most important and influential nations in the world despite difficult challenges. He said that the state has also been an equal partner with all the other states of the nation in the journey that all have been making on the path of development and prosperity.
In pursuit of the final solution of the Naga Political Issue he said that hopes have risen to a great extent as in recent years we have seen significant forward movement on the issue as the Naga Political Groups have been in cease fire with the Government of India for a long time and the peace talks over the years have made significant progress. Zhimomi also mentioned that the State government has over the past years led the role of active facilitator on the ongoing Naga Political peace talks.
Highlighting various efforts taken by the government to combat COVID-19 in the state, Minister, appealed to all citizens to continue to observe Covid appropriate behaviour.
Highlights of the celebration included distribution of certificates to villages and colonies that have achieved 100% COVID Vaccination (1st dose), special number by Kevizhapu Kire, war dance by Ethnic Performing Arts and group song by Musik-A School.
Evening programme included prize distribution and beating of retreat by 15 IRB (Mahilla).

75th Independence Day programme was celebrated at Wokha Local ground on 15th August 2021, with Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Neiba Kronu as the Chief Guest.

Mon celebrated India's 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2021 at Local Ground Mon with Minister of Health & Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom as the Chief Guest. Upon his arrival, the Minister undertook the Ceremonial Flag Hoisting and Review of Parade.
Pangnyu in his address paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters for whom the people enjoy freedom. He highlighted the difficult challenges India as a nation overtook to secure its place among the most important and influential nations in the world while remaining steadfast to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.
He also highlighted the remarkable contributions that Nagaland as a State has made in the journey of the Nation thus far.
The Minister addressed about the Naga Political Issue and stated that the Government had formed a Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue along with a Core Committee to give further impetus to the peace talks and help arrive at the final solution at the earliest.
Pangnyu highlighted that a Select Committee of the House had been constituted to examine all aspects of the Assam-Nagaland border issues and hoped that the issue be settled amicably by the two State Governments.
Although the ferocity of the second wave of the pandemic was overwhelming, the State made full effort to combat the pandemic successfully, he added. He also extended his appreciation to all the healthcare workers and frontline workers for the enormous sacrifices made for the cause of humanity. Pangnyu further highlighted some of the State's preparedness for the pandemic which includes 6 functional PSA Oxygen Plants with a daily capacity of 3.7 Metric Ton and another 19 plants under installation, 1816 oxygen concentrators, 6082 oxygen cylinders, 3 BSL Labs, 25 truenat and 362 Rapid Antigen Testing facility, 200 bedded hospital for acute medical care at CIHSR Dimapur which will be invaluable for the people should there be a third wave. However, despite the best efforts put in by everyone, he expressed his deepest condolences to the families who had lost their near and dear ones due to the Pandemic.
Pangnyu also congratulated the Indian contingent who took part at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
As a mark of the 75th Independence Day, the Minister urged upon the people of Nagaland to pledge to re-dedicate and work sincerely for bringing positive development in all fields so the Nagaland may be counted amongst the most developed and progressive States of the country.

In commemoration of the 75th Independence Day, 2 competitions were organised and the winners were felicitated as under:

In Kiphire, the 75th Independence Day was celebrated at public ground Kiphire with Minister for Housing, Mechanical, Tongpang Ozukum as the special guest on 15th August 2021.
The special guest unfurled the National flag and took salute from four contingents comprised of V.G. Kiphire Village, DEF Kiphire, 14th IR Bn and 41 AR Bn.
Minister in his speech highlighted the poor economy and lack of infrastructure in our nation however, inspite of such stiff challenges we all have worked hard with willingness that we could marched together to take our nation to a position that we all could be now proud of.He also stated that the second wave of the pandemic has tested our capacities, but we have made efforts to combat the pandemic successfully. The COVID-19 Pandemic and the lockdowns have really made us realised the importance of building the skills of our people in making self reliant to earn our livelihoods.
Special presentation was presented by the Infinite Nagas, Three colours by GHSS Kiphire, folk song by Easter Sumi Totimi Hoho and the “youth, a catalyst for addressal of gender issue in the Kiphire District”.
The programme was followed by the launching of " Smoke Free District Headquarter campaign" by the special guest, in his short speech he stated that its not only about the launching but he encourage everyone to participate and work together sincerely in making the campaign a success. He also urged everyone to be abide by COTPA Act 2003.
Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the Oratorical speech competition, and Essay, painting and debate competition.
"Kiphire's Mango Tea" was also launched by the special guest in the presence of the DC Kiphire T.Wati Aier and dignitaries. In the district a lot of potential fruits go wasted in the farmers field so inorder to put value addition to the crop and increased farmers income the DHO Kiphire and NSRLM Longmatra identified mango as a very value fruit crop by promoting a product called Kiphire's Mango Tea. This product will encourage all the farmers and local entrepreneur in the Kiphire for self employment.
Special guest also visited the Shalom children Home and Kiphire District Disability Association. The programme ended with Beating of Retreat by DEF Band Kiphire.

Together with the rest of the nation, Pfutsero sub-division celebrated the 75th Independence Day at Pfutsero Sports Complex Ground on 15th August 2021 with ADC Pfutsero, Japheth Woch as the Chief Guest.
On arrival the Chief Guest unfurled the national tricolor followed by Rashtriya salute and singing of national anthem by Baptist Theological College, Pfutsero.
Later the chief guest read out the Independence Day speech of the Government of Nagaland.
All together there were five parade contingents, DEF Pfutsero, Pfutsero Government College, GHSS Pfutsero, CMHSS Pfutsero and Nazareth School Pfutsero, the parade commander was ABSI Zamesu.
As part of the celebration the government departments of Pfutsero distributed food materials to 33 beneficiaries of 11 wards at Pfutsero town and visited the Children Home at Rukizu. As a token of thank you for their yeoman service monetary gifts were also handed over to 6 sanitary workers of Pfutsero town.

The 75th Independence Day 2021 was celebrated at Pungro Town at local ground. The National flag was hoisted by ADC Pungro, Abhinav Shivam, IAS. National Anthem was sung by PTSU. The Independence Day speech was delivered by Chief Guest. The programme was highlighted by various cultural troupe presented by Pungthu Cultural Troupe, Pungro.
The chief guest inaugurated exhibition stalls followed by inspecting of stalls, around eight stalls took part from neighbouring village, Government of Nagaland, Department of Rural Development, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission, RD Block Khongsa village level organization, RD Block Pungro, Yuruh village level organization, department of Agriculture Pungro, Department of Animal and Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Veterinary Dispensary Pungro, PACSU, PVSU, The good tree (ATSUSANGTONG), Mutual Vendor Self Help Group Pungro. Followed by FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN organised by NEHRU YUVA KENDRA, KIPHIRE and Penalty Shootout by Nuhuta Tunyi NCS, EAC Pungro, organised by Saramati Nexus club Pungro. The programme was attended by Government Servants and NGOs Pungro.
In the afternoon, a team comprising of SBI Pungro, SDO Power, Pungro public forum visited the hospital at CHC Pungro.

Seyochung:
75th Independence Day celebration was held in Seyochung HQ office complex on 15th August 2021 with Renbemo Ezung ADC as the chief guest.
The guest unfurled the National flag and took salute from the parade contingent later the guest read out the Independence Day speech.
Parade contingents comprised of VG HQ led by Tsalicho post Commander HQ. Later National anthem song was sung by St. Mary's High school.

The 75th Independence Day celebration was held at ADC’s Office compound on 15th August, 2021 with ADC Niginimora, Vineet Kumar IAS as the special guest, who unfurled the National Flag, took the Rastriya salute from 6th NAP and read out the speech. Other highlight of the day was a special number by Nokin.

Aboi:
Along with the rest of the country, Aboi Town celebrated the 75th Independence Day at Local Ground, Aboi Town on 15th August 2021. Additional Deputy Commissioner Aboi, Chumlamo Humtsoe, NCS unfurled the National Flag as special guest. He took salute from three Parade Contingents and read out the Independence Day speech. National Anthem was presented by Girl Club, BBBP Aboi.
ABI, Wapang Longkumer was the Parade Commander while ABSI, Samuel Jamir was the 2nd Parade Commander. There were three Parade Contingents – 11th Indian Reserve Battalion Aboi, Langmeing Village Guard and Chinglong Village Guard.
Celebrating the occasion, a cultural song was presented by KNSK Aboi unit and a special number by ATBC Youth. There was also prize distribution for meritorious girls students from various schools under the aegis of BBBP Programme.
Other highlights of the programme included hosting of the National flag all the government offices, educational institution. There was exhibition cum sale stall from neighbouring villages and different Self Help Group which was inaugurated by the Special Guest. There was also football exhibition match between ADC’s XI vs ATSU’s XI.

Additional Chief Secretary & Chief Resident Commissioner, Jyoti Kalash, IAS hoisted the National flag at Nagaland House, New Delhi on Indian’s 75th Independence Day. In his short speech, the ACS said that Indian’s got Azadi 75 years ago, Indian Nation had grown to full independence in every walk of life, he also mentioned that last year 2020 Nagaland state was awarded the best law & order state in India which has strengthen the Nation, in the interior India International boundaries states of North east are becoming more peaceful and stronger.
