The Department of Information Technology & Communication (IT&C), Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India organized a workshop on Digital India Awareness at the Conference Hall, Directorate of IT&C, Kohima on 30th July 2026.
The workshop brought together 130 officials from various Government departments for sessions on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and on key Digital Public Infrastructure platforms — DigiLocker, Entity Locker, and UMANG — with resource persons from NeGD and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) for fully integrating DigiLocker into its Recruitment Portal. NeGD presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the NPSC, recognizing Nagaland as the first State in Eastern India—and only the third nationwide after Kerala and Karnataka—to implement both DigiLocker models.
The inaugural session commenced with a welcome address by Er. Sabou Yashu, Director, IT&C, followed by an address from Ajay Kumar, Onboarding Expert, DigiLocker, NeGD and the Recognition & Felicitation Ceremony, with Er. Chura Katiry, Joint Director, IT&C proposing the vote of thanks.
