Dimapur District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on 26th October, 2022 at DC's Conference Hall, Dimapur, chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Vice-chairman, DPDB, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS.

The agenda discussed during the meeting were bifurcation of the existing Development Block of Chumoukedima between Dimapur district, where Project Director, DRDA, Dimapur, Kethosituo Sekhose presented a proposal stating that with the creation of Chumoukedima district, the jurisdiction of Rural Development (RD) Chumoukedima, Dhansirpar and Kuhuboto now falls under the districts of Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland, which has given rise to administrative inconvenience, particularly for the Block Office, as the BDOs now have to report to two different district authorities. Henceforth, a proposal was submitted for those villages under Dimapur district to be constituted into a separate block consisting of 31 villages. Second proposal is to have two blocks under Dimapur district instead of one - East Dimapur RD Block and West Dimapur RD Block. It was also appealed to the Board to consider three villages - Sangtamtila , L. Hotovi, Shozukhu under Dimapur district which is presently under Dhansiripar and Kuhuboto RD Block. Third proposal presented for consideration of Bamunpukhri B village, which falls under Chumoukedima Block, to create VDB (Village Development Board) for the village by bifurcating the present Bamunpukhri VDB into Bamunpukhri A  VDB and Bamunpukhri B  VDB.

After thorough deliberations, the following agenda were taken into consideration - Opening of new school, ‘The Family Tree’ at Kushiabill village under Dimapur district; Registration of Society of Ex-Servicemen League, Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland located at Naharbari; Operation Rescue Nagaland located at IHSDP Complex, United North Block-B, Burma Camp; Nagaland Kalwar  Samaj located at Zakiesato Colony, Dimapur; Euro Welfare Society located at H/No. 109, Midland Colony, Dimapur.

Other agenda deliberated were Grant-in-Aid for St. Paul Higher Secondary School Lhomithi village, Dimapur; GPS Kirha UDISE Code 13060212201; GMS Veterinary Colony Burma Camp UDISE 13060501502, where it has taken into consideration for approval.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) highlighted on the CMHIS Scheme, wherein he informed that the procedure of this scheme is going on in all the departments. Under the scheme, employees and pensioner can avail up to Rs. 20 lakh and the general public can avail up to Rs. 5 lakh respectively, he added.

            The meeting ended with DC, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS thanking the Forest and Power Departments for taking the initiative in uprooting the tree at the Super Market within a short period of time. He said that there will soon be a sitting discussion for the development of the area. He also informed the Board on the upcoming events of the President of India’s visit to Nagaland on 2nd and 3rd November, and requested all the officers and staff to be present at their respective station. He also informed the officers and staff to disseminate information on the Mega Job Fair which is to be held on 28th November 2022. Further, he requested the CMO to give a presentation on CMHIS to the members for better understanding on how to register and avail the benefits. Jaiswal also mentioned the role and responsibilities of the Sector Officer during election and informed that very soon, allotment of Sector Officer will be issued and appealed to the Heads of Departments to share the staff list of their respective departments.
