The 2nd quarterly District Development Coordination and Monitoring (DISHA) meeting for Peren District was held at DC's Conference Hall, Peren on 29th September 2022. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) & Chairperson, DISHA, Nagaland, Tokheho Yepthomi.

The MP informed the Peren district DISHA members that the MPs have been directed by the Ministry of Rural Development to monitor the centrally sponsored schemes and also to review the progress of various development and welfare-based programmes and the progress of the district as well as to submit the reports quarterly which comes under their parliamentary constituency and for this the meeting was called to ascertain whether the schemes are utilized smoothly by the concerned departments. Further, he requested the heads of offices present to be more responsible and see that there is no overlapping while implementing the centrally sponsored schemes in the district.

During the meeting, the Department of Food & Civil Supplies, PWD (R&B), Agriculture, Horticulture, Land Resource, and PHED gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation of the achievements and progress under different centrally sponsored schemes and the status of the developmental projects being executed in the district.
