The first District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC) meeting of Noklak District was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Noklak on 24th March, 2021. DC Noklak Reny Wilfred, IAS chairing the meeting said that Noklak has a huge potential in horticulture, aquaculture, handicrafts, agriculture & allied, tourism etc. Inorder to promote the scope of all these, he urged for a concerted effort from the administration, stakeholders, Departments, NGOs and farmers.
The agenda discussed were financial inclusion status of Noklak district, current banking challenges in Noklak and priority sector lending targets & customer service point. The house also reviewed on CD ratio of Banks and ACP Targets & achievements. The house reviewed PMEGP 2020-21 and the targets on PMEGP for 2021-22 including DUDA and DRDA 2020-21, NSRLM Credit Linkages MUDRA and Micro credit, performance of FLCs in the district, performance of Government SSS-PMSBY/PMJJBY/APY and discussion on financial inclusion on block wise MIS/Data. Department specific schemes from DIC from Agri and Allied deptt was also held including discussions on NABARD and other priority base needs of the district.
And in the second session, training on priority sector lending was conducted. The training covered on agriculture loans, MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise) and other Priority Sector lending on education loan, housing loan, social infrastructure, renewable energy, Self Help Group (SHG), Joint Liability Group and PMJDY. The training also covered PMEGP and other Social Security Schemes such as PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.
The resource persons of the training were District Development Manager NABARD S.Amarjit Mangang, Lead District Manager Noklak & Tuensang Mughashe Assumi and Branch Manager SBI Noklak Neikhoto Tachu.
The programme was attended by district administrations, representative from Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam, Khiamniungan Baptist Churches Association and departmental officers.
