In view of the upcoming vaccination for 18-44 years of age as notified by the MoHFW, the following points have been clarified by the Department of Health & Family Welfare as follows for eligible citizens;

All eligible and willing 18-44 yrs beneficiaries may start registration for availing COVID-19 vaccine by visiting selfregistration.cowin.gov.in and Arogya Setu App. Beneficiaries should book appointment only after state/Department announces availability of vaccines and sessions are made available on CoWIN portal.

The state has received one Lakh doses of Covishield from GMSD Kolkata on 26/04/2021. The allocation of vaccine to state/ UT will be based on three criteria’s i.e.  (a) performance (Seven- day rolling average of consumption, (b) number of active covid cases and (c) vaccine wastage, as per CO-WIN data (including data base of covid-19 vaccines. The vaccine doses to be made available to the states/UTs, will be communicated in advance to state/UTs for the next fortnightly.

The state is in contact with GOI and vaccine manufacturers to ensure maximum beneficiaries are vaccinated as early as possible.
