Dimapur Police Commissionerate (DPC) organized a farewell programme for the outgoing Commissioner of Police Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo, DCP (Traffic) Jatila Jamir, DCP Dimapur Naieem Mustafa, DCP (Crime) & PRO Bharat Laxman Markad, and ADCP CMD, T Yanrenthung Ngullie on 14th November at conference hall CP office Dimapur.

Outgoing CP Dimapur while addressing the gathering thanked the civil societies and churches for their support and cooperation with the police force in maintaining the law and order in the district during his three years as CP Dimapur.

Tetseo mentioned the importance and positive role played by the media fraternity in contributing peaceful atmosphere. He also stressed the importance of cooperation and mutual understanding among the administration, police, civil societies, student bodies, and churches in maintaining law and order in the district.

In his farewell speech, DCP (crime) Bharat Laxman Markad said media being the fourth pillar of democracy plays a crucial role in the democratic function and urged media to be bolder and more courageous.

Short farewell speeches were also delivered by DCP (Traffic) Jatila Jamir, DCP Dimapur Naieem Mustafa, and T Yanrenthung Ngullie ADCP CMD.

Earlier Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal, President NCD, President Muslim council Dimapur and DPRO Dimapur on behalf of the media fraternity delivered short speeches.

The programme was chaired by ADCP (PRO/TRF) Temsunochet Changkija.
