On November 10, 2023, the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of November convened at the DC Conference Hall in Chumoukedima. The meeting was chaired by Advisor for Urban & Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, with Vice Chairman DC Abhinav Shivam, IAS, in attendance.

Key highlights and discussions during the meeting included:

Deliberation on shortage of Grade-IV Staff in SDEO office, Medziphema, upgradation of GMS, Kukidolong Village, registration of Emerald School, Ward 7, Chumoukedima, registration of Tribal Common Society, Thilixu Village, registration of Chumoukedima Plywood Veneer industry and Transport Trade Association, registration of Two-Wheeler Association, Chumoukedima, and removal of the road divider in front of Unity Village.

The Board approved the registration of the Tribal Common Society, Thilixu Village, and the other agendas were deferred for proposal in the next DPDB meeting pending a thorough report.

DPA, DDMA, Berela, delivered a comprehensive presentation, highlighting the activities and achievements of DDMA Chumoukedima for the year 2022-2023.
