Advisor BAN, CEO of Window Media, Chairman Echahaba Tea Growers Cooperation Society Ltd Dr. Aotoshi said that Agriculture has long been the source and strength of Nagaland and its economy under various institutions hold technologies or crops to its name.
Addressing the 2nd session of the ongoing trade Fair at NER Agri Expo on 4th November 2022, Dr. Ao Toshi observed that Nagaland sits in an ideal location, having both plain and hills that cater to different needs. Whether fresh or processed, wild or farmed, the state has the potential to give the best of both, he maintained.
He impressed on the need for value addition, improved logistics, and exploration of markets near and far.
Describing the local farming practices of Nagas as unique which has been a subject of interest, Aotoshi opined that the integrated model of bringing tourism into farmlands is becoming more attractive, as more people seek to "Learn and Relax". There is huge potential for Agri-tourism in the state, he added.
The Session focused on Agriculture and Tourism integration, infield Traditional Farming Experience, Agriculture Logistics, and Air Cargo and connectivity.
