As part of the celebration of Iconic Events Week and to commemorate the 126th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a Drawing & Painting Competition on the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was held at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on 18th January 2023.

A total of 126 students from 26 schools in Kohima took part in the competition which was organized by the Nagaland Board of School Education. Students who participated in the competition were from Rüzhükhrie GHSS, Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire GHSS, TM GHSS, GHS PWD, GHS Chandmari, GHS New Market, Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Minister’s Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Chandmari Higher Secondary School, Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Model Higher Secondary School, Stella Higher Secondary School, Holy Family Higher Secondary School, Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School, St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School, Dainty Buds, Fernwood School, Modern Academy Higher Secondary School, Corragio School, St. John

School Merhülietsa, Trinity School New Reserve, St. Peter’s School, Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial School, Assam Rifles Public School, and Vineyard School.

The 20 best drawings and paintings were chosen by three judges, who are Artists from the Department of Art & Culture. The drawings were later put up for viewing at the Capital Cultural Hall during the evening Cultural programme.
