District Task Force (Covid-19) Kiphire held its meeting on 1st April 2020 at DPDB hall Kiphire under the chairmanship of DC, Kiphire Sarita Yadav IAS. 

During the meeting, Additional SP Erie stated that as of now, temporary check points have been erected through local arrangements in all the entry/exit points and Village Guards are patrolling 24x7, so that people coming from Myanmar or going out from the Kiphire District have been totally restricted. He said the border has been sealed.

Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire, Government Higher Secondary School Kiphire has been selected as Isolation centre. Religious gatherings have been prohibited while the Church pastors would be allowed to visit the houses for a child naming ceremony or conduct funeral programme. Gathering in the funeral should not be more 20 people. For the forthcoming Good Friday, mass gathering have been prohibited while pastors will be allowed to share God's messages/prayer to the public on Good Friday and Easter Sunday at several locations in the colonies. The members decided to extend 'Shopping day' to Saturday as it coincides with Good Friday. 

Members from chamber of commerce briefing on food stock said that more essential commodities will be available by Monday. Deputy Commissioner requested KDCC to direct all shopkeepers maintain same price for essential food items.

It was also decided that donors who wish to give out to the needy public should inform the administration beforehand and they have been advised to buy the essential food items from Dimapur, and not from the stock of Kiphire District. 

The chairperson also requested Supply department to furnish details on food item already distributed to public for March and stock record for April 2020. 

Rural Development department was directed to give indicative outlines to villagers on money, which the Government is going to give to facilitate quarantine.
