A farewell program in honor of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, was held at the DC Office Complex in Phek on August 31, 2023.

In his farewell speech, Deputy Commissioner Kumar Ramnikant expressed gratitude for the love and affection he received from the people of the district during his tenure. He emphasized the importance of stability of tenure for officers in the district to achieve long-term goals and development. He also urged responsible authorities to maintain the quality of infrastructure projects, particularly 2-lane roads, which are crucial for the district's progress.

As Phek district celebrated its 50th anniversary, he called upon the district's apex bodies and leaders to work together. He praised the forward-thinking tribal Hohos and women's organizations for their progressive goals and believed that the district could shed its "backward" tag with their continued efforts.

Kumar Ramnikant attributed the successful and peaceful conduct of the last election to the support of his officers, staff, Tribal Hohos, DBs, and cooperation from HODs. He commended his officers and staff for their exceptional performance and encouraged them to maintain the same spirit with future Deputy Commissioners.

ADC Meluri, Albert Ezung, speaking on behalf of Administrative Officers in Phek, described the outgoing DC as efficient and knowledgeable, providing a conducive environment for officers to excel. Er. Lhuvoyi, E.E Power, representing HoDs Phek, praised the DC's amicable nature, strict adherence to rules, and approachable character.

Shevotso S. Vero, P.A to DC, highlighted the DC's sincerity, dedication, and his presence in the office.

The farewell program included speeches from various community leaders, and it was chaired by SDO (C) Phek Hq, Tsenthung E. Ngullie. The program concluded with a special song presented by the DBs of Phek Hq.
