A farewell programme in honour of retiring Director, Census Operations, Nagaland, Tridibesh Roy IAS was held at the Directorate of Census Operations, Kohima on 31st January 2022.
Chairing the programme, ADCO (T), M. Peseyie thanked the Director for the service rendered and for the efforts he put in for the progress of the Department during his short stay as the Director.
Delivering a brief service record of the retiring Director, ADCO (Admin), Sesu Apon mentioned that Tridibesh Roy IAS joined the Directorate of Census Operations as the Director on 3rd June 2019, and served in that capacity for 2 years and 7 months. Tridibesh Roy was first selected as an Extra Assistant Commissioner (NCS) in May 1988, and was first posted in Noksen under Tuensang district. He served in different parts of the State as an Administrative Officer, also serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto and Mokokchung. He is retiring in the rank of Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Nagaland.
DDCO & HO, Imkongnungsang termed the retiring Director as an officer who is professional in his approach to work, and a man of immense humility and sincerity. He said that it was only in the year 2011 that a full fledged Director took charge of the Directorate of Census Operations, and in 2019, after Tridibesh Roy took charge as the Director, many positive aspects of the Department could take place. He requested the outgoing Director to assist in the process of nominating a Director with the State Government at the earliest, as functioning without a full-fledged Director hampers the working of the office.
Delivering his farewell speech, Tridibesh Roy, IAS thanked the Almighty for the service he could render to the State Government, adding that the completion of his service career in good health is an achievement. Reminiscing about his service days, when he first joined the Nagaland Civil Service on 26th May 1988, Roy thanked all the people he worked with, saying that he could complete serving the State Government for 33 years and 8 months, only with the support and cooperation he received.
Vote of thanks was delivered by ADCO (T), Mhathung Rangthang. Short speeches were also delivered by ADCO Viyovol Chaya, ADCO Vikishe Chishi, S. I. Gr-II Athisii Chachei, Proof Reader Lucy Tep, and Consultant Vihoto- they described the outgoing Director Tridibesh Roy IAS as a good leader who worked diligently and who always extended his helping hands whenever required. They expressed gratitude for his approachable nature and for the opportunities he provided during his short stay as the Director, Census Operations.
